Buganda Exit is working to build a network of ambassadors, Community Involvement Committees and chapters across Buganda Kingdom and its authentic regional and global friends. Buganda Exit envisions more Community Involvement committees on every village throughout our Kingdom of enchantments. Get involved.

Buganda Exit seeks to further empower individuals and local communities to better represent their own needs, and create sustainable local economies through proven economic and environmental planning. The group encourages people to think locally by looking for ways to create community resilience and create alternate lines of local communication, politics, and interdependence that better represent the social, cultural and political boundaries that define our treasured Buganda Kingdom. Welcome to the 21 century Buganda’s journey to self-determination.

Buganda’s Independence dream is beyond political ideologies and groupings.

The Buganda-Exit voyagers must be bigger than politics.  We must stand firm and bold on that noble idea. Buganda-Exit emphasizes, how essential it is to recognize Buganda Kingdom’s unique identity, and the Buganda Kingdom independence trekking as being far greater than politics. We must convey national values, sentiments, and affinities far beyond partisan politics. This means we must reject those naïve and ill-fated attempts to equate Buganda Kingdom supremacy with any given partisan political ideology or group.

The Buganda identity and the trekkers supporting it must be about our societal common bonds which originated from our unique Kingdom. Our common bonds as a society do not come from our appearance or place of birth nor do they come from the holy spaces we worship in. Nor do they come from the personal political ideologies we subscribe to as individuals. We must acknowledge the fact that we are different from the rest of British project Uganda. We must embrace the possibility that we are able to unite as one because our Kingdom is one. We must look past existing political groups and fantasies. If you cherish our Kingdom and acknowledge that our foundational bonds as a society come from it, then Buganda-exit stand with you.

Making a single partisan affiliation the bedrock of any national independence trekking is utterly foolish and destined to fail spectacularly. By doing so, there’s no stopping how narrow or rigid that ideology can get before it continues splintering groups of people which would and should otherwise be united. Eventually, you get to a point where the parameters of any given ideology are so exclusive that they allow for only a small subset of individuals.

Anywhere you go, be it a country, a state, a city, or even a neighborhood; you’ll find a spectrum of politics that spreads beyond any single ideology. This is what identifying as Muganda should mean. Even if all we ever achieve is tangible unity in a cultural sense, growing this journey into a national force will require patience and radical acceptance. We must reach out to and accept our neighbors of many different persuasions and clans if we’re truly committed to this honorable cause and the goal of an amalgamated Kingdom. By doing so, we reject fear and skepticism.

Many will mock our efforts and some may even claim them to be treasonous. We know that supporting and advocating for Buganda Kingdom self-rule is not treachery.  Baganda are loyal to their societies that embrace a different national identity which is good and true. Without shredding or diminishing our loyalties to our fellow citizens, or skirting our obligations as citizens of our countries as they exist today, we choose to build the foundations for a strong and Buganda which may one day will be politically free and independent.
